MD 555. Special suction system cleaner.

MD 555 cleaner from Dürr Hygiene is a special acidic, foam-free cleaner for dental suction systems including their drain pipes. MD 555 cleaner is recommended for problematic water (e.g. very hard water, hardly soluble salts, etc.) and for drain pipes with insufficient slope. MD 555 cleaner is suitable for use with special dental cleaning devices, e.g. powder jet devices. Regular use of MD 555 prevents deposits and blockages in the suction system. Blockages of the suction system caused by the use of sparingly soluble prophylactic agents, such as prophylactic powders, especially based on calcium carbonate, are avoided and existing encrustations are dissolved. Thanks to its special active ingredients and additives, MD 555 cleaner is particularly suitable for amalgam separator systems.

In addition, MD 555 cleaner can be used universally wherever hard water deposits need to be removed from surfaces such as tiles, slabs or spittoons.

Application.

In case of very hard water or presence of prophylactic powder residues, apply MD 555 cleaner regularly as a 5% solution once or twice a week, e.g. during lunch breaks. In the case of extreme loads, this can also be done on a daily basis. The minimum exposure time is 30 minutes and can be extended if necessary. To do this, fill 50 ml of MD 555 cleaner with water to obtain 1 l of solution and suck it up using the OroCup. Pour 250 ml of solution into the spittoon as well.

After the exposure time has elapsed, rinse the cleaned system with at least 1 l of water. In problematic cases, e.g. to recondition suction systems heavily contaminated with biofilm, use MD 555 cleaner alternately with effective disinfectants such as Orotol plus or Orotol ultra, one to five times a week at a concentration of 10 % (fill 100 ml of MD 555 cleaner with water to obtain 1 l of solution). The optimum effect is achieved with an exposure time of 1 to 2 hours in each case. Also pour 250 ml of solution into the spittoon.
